Surgery and Anesthesia
Office Surgery
Dr. Hamas performs cosmetic surgery in his office surgical facility rather than in a hospital. This offers you greater privacy and an increased level of personal attention. You will find the office environment very comfortable and relaxing for surgery.
Dr. Hamas' surgical facility is equipped and operated under strict standards set by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). In fact, Dr. Hamas served on the AAAASF committee that established the standards for accreditation. The surgical facility is regularly inspected and accredited to assure you a high degree of safety, sterility and professionalism. It is staffed by Registered Nurses to provide the highest quality of care during both surgery and recovery.
If you prefer, your procedure may be performed at Presbyterian or Medical City Hospitals where Dr. Hamas is on staff.
After surgery, you will be comfortable at home with a friend or family member. If you are from out of town, the office staff will be pleased to help with arrangements for your stay and care.
Office Anesthesia
With the advanced techniques in anesthesia now available, you will be totally asleep and unaware of your surgical procedure. Your anesthesia will be administered and monitored by a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). The CRNA has met strict educational and certification requirements set by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. These requirements and high standards mean you can place full confidence in the anesthesia care you will receive.
Prior to your surgery, you will meet with the CRNA. She will review your medical history and past anesthesia experiences in order to determine the best anesthetic technique for you.
